“Legal Traditions and Politics of Eastern Europe: EU - EAST Neighbours ”

Students will gain knowledge of the current dynamics of legal and political systems of Eastern Europe with a special focus on EU Eastern neighbours (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine), and will be able to critically analyse the post-socialist and post-soviet legal and political development in a comparative perspective.
Among the expected educational results of this laboratory there are:
- Understanding the main legal and political dynamics of Eastern Europe and former Soviet area and their relevance for the EU
- Strengthening the analytical skills concerning legal traditions and politics of Eastern Europe and former Soviet area

The Seminar is offered within the Official Seminar program of the Department of Law University of Turin.
